Add a Welcome Mat

Hello, awesome partners, thanks so much for your partnership for the sale. I wanted to quickly go over how to create a customized welcome mat for your WordPress website in less than five minutes. So you can see I've got a couple different options. This one is white and this one is darker. And I'm going to go and show you right now how I did that.So first thing you need to do is go into your WordPress website, click on plugins and then click, add new and search for sumo.

What you're going to install is this Sumo - Boost Conversions and sales plugin and this is a really good plug in. It's used by over 80,000 WordPress users and it's got a 4 star review from 500 of them and it works really well.

So once you do that on your sidebar, there's going to be an option for Sumo. When you when you search for it, you'll need to install it and then click activate. And then this will show up, and when you go here the first time, you're going to need to activate your account.

Once your account is activated, you can go to my apps and that's going to take you to the Sumo website and then go to forms. And I've made this really easy. I'm going to provide you with two different files. All you're going to need to do is click upload forms and then go to the files, and we've got one for dark and one for light. And you will upload those files.

Once you've uploaded them- and this is very important - once you've uploaded them, make sure to go in and double check all your settings. So I'll go over those really quick. My goal is a call to action form type is a smart bar. All of this hopefully should be set up for you. Here's the default form if you ever want to edit it or edit the text or what it says, you can go in here, it's got some HTML code, but you can see where the main words are and you can edit those as desired.

These are made to be a little bit smaller. So it's kind of a heading subheading sort of format there. And then that should be it for that. Let's see visibility. You'll have to set where you want this for me. I set it on all pages, beginning with 5day.deals, so it's on the entire website, but you've got lots of different options for that. You can exclude pages, include pages, that kind of thing. And this is the free version.

Some of these things may be locked on the pro version, but I just showed it on my entire website and it's really easy and that's totally doable with this version. One thing to note, this plugin is really cool, actually, during non-sale times as well. You can have people subscribe and once they subscribe, they can go to like a secret page where you have a reward for them or you can even upload a file and they'll receive that file as soon as they subscribe so they can subscribe and download your ebook or whatever it is.

You can also, if you want, on the non-sale time, you can put in an email opt-in and connect it to your newsletter form. The couple of things you need to make sure you do so over here. You need to click on this button and put in your affiliate your URL. OK, make sure it doesn't just say 5DayDeal.com, you want to make sure that has your affiliate you URL before you activate it. And I believe there's one other place.

Oh yeah. And then just success. I would just put in your affiliate URL under success as well, just to be sure. I don't think it does anything. I think that's more the for subscribing. But just make sure it's your affiliate URS there and not the default link.

And once you're done, you'll have the option to update or click publish. Once you click publish, let's see.

Once you click publish, it will be active on your site and then you can just go over to your website, refresh the page and it should show up on your website at the very top. It's closable if they want it to be, but that way it gets everybody seeing about the sale and the site and directing traffic from your website over to 5DayDeal, through your affiliate link.
